Loyola women favored in MAAC

Loyola (Md.) was selected to win the MAAC women's title this season in a preseason poll voted on by the league's 10 head coaches.
 
The Greyhounds finished with 93 points, six ahead of defending champion Niagara.  Fairfield was picked third with 86 points, and Siena finished in fourth place with 62 points.  Manhattan, Marist College, Iona, Canisius, Rider  and Saint Peter's round out the MAAC.
 
Niagara's Brittany Bisnott (Brampton, Ont.) has been chosen as the 2007 MAAC Preseason Player of the Year.  Bisnott is the league's top returning scorer this season after recording with 21 goals and three assists for a total of 45 points during her junior campaign.
