David Beckham and Landon Donovan are still recovering from injuries, although reports say that both players will play some part in tonight's SuperLiga final against Pachuca at the Home Depot Center
(Wednesday, 11 pm ET, live on TeleFutura). L.A. played the Mexican giant at the Home Depot Center in the first round of the SuperLiga, prevailing 2-1 despite being outshot 23-9. Several other Galaxy
players who were missing against Colorado on Sunday -- eight starters -- should also be available.
The L.A. Times' Grahame L. Jones says the $1 million SuperLiga title is "the only
title that is realistically within [the Galaxy's] reach this season." L.A. is 3-10-5 in MLS this season, the league's second-worst record.
"I'm sure we'll all be up for the game because
finals don't come round that often," Beckham said, "and when they do you have to enjoy them and win them." The 32-year-old said his still-injured left ankle felt "uncomfortable" and that it would
require a longer break to completely heal. "If I had six weeks' rest, then it would clear up completely, but that's not possible," he acknowledged. Galaxy coach Frank Yallop, meanwhile said that
Donovan's calf and thigh injuries had greatly improved.
