Stetson names Fleck men's coach in sudden shakeup

Logan Fleck has been hired as the interim men's coach at Division I Stetson a day after Sean Murphy resigned his position as the head men's coach. The shakeup came in the middle of preseason training and followed Murphy's placement under administrative suspension.

According to the Daytona Beach News-Journal, records showed Murphy was arrested on Aug. 17 for driving under the influence in Ormond Beach -- his second arrest for drinking and driving in his nine years at Stetson.

Fleck, son of well-known youth coaching pioneer Tom Fleck, will serve as the Hatters coach for the remainder of the season. Most recently, Fleck served as the head women's coach at South Florida, where he posted a 97-94-18 record over 12 seasons.  He was named the Conference USA Coach of the Year in 1998 after leading the Bulls to a 15-1-3 record.  He also served as USF's head men's coach from 1994-1996, putting together a 34-17-0 mark.
