Soccer America Men's Player of the Week

Senior Stephen King, who recorded a goal and an assist in Maryland's 3-0 win over Notre Dame on Sunday, is Soccer America's Men's Player of the Week for games played Aug. 31-Sept. 2.

King, a Soccer America Preseason All-American, helped give the Terrapins a 2-0 halftime lead when he set up teammate Drew Yates for the second goal with 4:21 left, faking toward the goal line and spinning inside to send a pass to Yates in the box.

King (Medford, N.J.) scored the third goal himself with 20 minutes left in the game.

Maryland won the adidas/IU Credit Union Classic, finishing with a 1-0-1 weekend and edging host Indiana on goal difference.
