Junior Alejandro Bedoya
is one of the nation's most influential transfers.
Bedoya, who earned All-Northeast Conference first-team honors in 2005 and
2006 at Fairleigh Dickinson, doubled his season totals with one goal and three assists on Tuesday night and led No. 13 Boston College to an 8-0 win over Maine.
Bedoya had assists on both
goals by Sherron Manswell
in the 2-0 victory over Maryland on Saturday and had the gamewinner a week before that in the 2-0 win over MAAC champion
Bedoya is one of three first-year players from South Florida to enroll at BC along with Shawn Chin
and Mario Uribe
. Chin was another of the eight players to score against Maine, notching the first goal -- his first collegiate goal -- just more than 12 minutes into the game.
Junior Dan Lane
, a transfer from nearby Wheaton, a Division III power, also scored his first goal for BC. He had 24 goals in two seasons at Wheaton.
