Unbeaten Michigan rolls on; BC settles for tie

[WEDNESDAY ACTION] Nine games into the 2007 season, No. 12 Michigan has already eclipsed last year's win total.

The Wolverines' 2-0 win over Oakland on Wednesday gave them an 8-0-1 record. They finished  the 2006 season at 7-10-4.

Freshman forward Tex McCullough teamed up with fellow Texan Mauro Fuzetti for the game's first goal seven minutes into the match.

Alex Morisset, a force for UM in midfield, helped set up the second goal Steve Bonnell nailed from 20 yards.

Goalkeeper Patrick Sperry set a new Michigan single-season record for most shutouts with his sixth of the season.

BOSTON COLLEGE-YALE (0-0). Despite a 34-17 advantage in shots and 13-3 edge in corner kicks, No. 6 Boston College had to settle for a scoreless draw with Yale.

BC's best chance came in the final minute of regulation when Alejandro Bedoya settled long cross from Paul Gerstenberger and blasted a right-footed shot that Yale keeper Erik Geiger saved with his right hand. The rebound was sent wide to the left by freshman Shawn Chin.
