5. SMALL COLLEGES: AUM looks in-house for new men's coach

While Tambi and Erwin are switching from men's to women's programs, Wulf Koch is going the other direction.
Koch was named the new men's coach at NAIA powerhouse Auburn-Montgomery after spending three seasons overseeing the women's program, which had a 48-19-3 record. Before taking over the Senators' women's team, Koch coached men's teams for 12 years at small colleges in Maine.
Koch took over the AUM men's program for Brett Teach, who was named the new coach of NCAA Division II Tusculum College's men's program, whose 2006 season was canceled after a scandal involving the theft of money and food during a fundraising event at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway in August. Tusculum head coach Tony Castainca and assistant coach Louis Thorpe resigned.
FT. LEWIS. The 2006 NCAA Division II men's runner-up announced that veteran coach Keith Cammidge would be in Durango Thursday and Friday as part of the interview process to fill the vacancy left by Jeremy Gunn's departure to Charlotte. Cammidge, currently the men's and women's head coach at D2 Mercyhurst, has 19 years of experience as a head coach at the D1 and D2 level.
