Boys U-17/18s-Oct. 27-28 Standings Birmingham United-AFC Lightning (1-3) Birmingham took the lead late in the first half on a goal by
John White. Just five minutes into
the second half,
Sean Grisham evened the score for the Lightning. Atlanta then pulled away on goals by
Ryan Pugh and
Cameron Black.
Virginia Rush-Bridge FC (1-2) Two goals by
Preston
Myers, including one in the final minute, gave Bridge FA the win. The Rush took an early lead with a 19th-minute goal by
Earl Floyd, Jr.
Atlanta Fire-Clearwater Chargers (2-1) Julio Perez scored the lone goal for Clearwater in the 15th minute,
but 10 minutes later,
Taylor Jordan evened the score. In the 57th minute,
Brett Blazer tallied the game-winning
goal for the Fire.
Miami FC Kendall-Schulz Academy (1-1) Pablo Punyed scored his third goal of the
season in the 31st minute to give Kendall the advantage. In the 81st minute, Schulz battled back to earn the 1-1 draw when
Karol Chorak scored the
equalizer.
Birmingham United-Clearwater Chargers (4-6) Cesar
Avalos' hat trick, including a goal in the opening minute, was not enough for Birmingham, as Clearwater answered back with a hat trick from
Matthew
Tobin and two goals from
Julio Perez.
Atlanta Fire-AFC Lightning (2-2) The Atlanta Fire
used two 90th-minute goals -- one by
Alassane Kane and the other an own goal -- to eek out a draw with its cross-town rival.
Taylor Hughston and
Cameron Black had put AFC Lightning up by two with just 10 minutes remaining.
DeAnza Force-Crossfire Premier (1-1) After 84 minutes of scoreless play,
Max Macaluao finally broke through the DeAnza defense to give
Crossfire the lead, but four minutes later,
Niki Chow found the back of the net for DeAnza.

Atlanta Fire-Clearwater Chargers
(3-3) Eric Carrion tallied his second goal of the year in the waning seconds to earn a tie for the Fire. Brian Intariano and
Sawyer Hemmer also scored for Atlanta. A goal from
Sean Venker allowed Clearwater to take an early lead. Goals from
Thomas Roehn and
Nicolas Jones gave it the lead in the second half.
Virginia
Rush-Bridge FA (2-2) Austin Savage scored his Academy-leading eighth goal of the season and salvaged the draw for Bridge.
Clayton Newton and
Frank Saunders also scored for the Rush.
Justin Watson scored
the first goal for Bridge early in the second half.
