USL-1's Puerto Rico Islanders win 10-0 in CONCACAF club qualifying

The USL-1's Puerto Rico Islanders beat Antigua & Barbuda's Hitachi Centre Sap FC, 10-0, on Tuesday night in Marabella, Trinidad, to move into first place in Group C in the 2007 CFU Club Championship.

The Caribbean tournament, which is taking place in six venues in Trinidad & Tobago, will qualify one team to the 2008 CONCACAF Champions Cup.

Former Colorado Rapids player Fabrice Noel scored four goals, while Panamanian Alberto Zapata added three more for Islanders.

Five goals came in a six-minute span before and after halftime.

In the other Group C encounter in Marabella, Gerard Adensida and Bryen Damaba scored for Surinam's Inter Moengotapoe in a 2-1 victory over Harbour View FC of Jamaica.

The Islanders and Inter Moengotapoe, who meet Thursday, are tied for first place in Group C with four points after two games. The top two teams advance to the quarterfinals that begin Sunday.
