"Columbus offered me to extend my contract with them, but I
also know that the doors are open for my return to Boca," the 34-year-old said. "I spoke to Boca's president (Mauricio Macri) before going to the United States. He told me he would do everything
possible for me to feel comfortable. I still have one year left on my Columbus contract, I might stay, but maybe I won't." The latter seems to be his intention, however, as the Crew midfielder
mentioned he was looking at other possibilities, too.
Schelotto said a return to Gimnasia would depend on how the club's upcoming elections play out. "I haven't made up my mind about Gimnasia, but everything depends on the upcoming elections. The thing is the club haven't been doing things well for some time now, but the fans know what I feel, and how I feel about the club," he said.
