USA finishes off year with South Africa friendly

The U.S. national team will play its 18th and final game of 2007 when it faces South Africa in the Nelson Mandela Challenge Cup on Saturday (9 am ET, live on Fox Soccer Channel & Galavision). The Americans have compiled a 11-5-1 in 2007, winning the Gold Cup last summer but exiting in the first round of the Copa America. In a late roster change, Heath Pearce and Jonathan Spector have replaced Eddie Lewis and Landon Donovan.

The U.S. roster is comprised of 12 European-based players and five MLS players.

GOALKEEPERS: Brad Guzan (Chivas USA), Tim Howard (Everton FC).

DEFENDERS: Carlos Bocanegra (Fulham FC), Jonathan Bornstein (Chivas USA), Steve Cherundolo (Hannover 96), Dan Califf (Aalborg BK), Oguchi Onyewu (Standard de Liege), Heath Pearce (Hansa Rostock), Jonathan Spector (West Ham United).

MIDFIELDERS: Freddy Adu (SL Benfica), DaMarcus Beasley (Glasgow Rangers), Michael Bradley (SC Heerenveen), Maurice Edu (Toronto FC), Benny Feilhaber (Derby County), Sacha Kljestan (Chivas USA).

FORWARDS: Josmer Altidore (New York Red Bulls), Clint Dempsey (Fulham FC).
