Glasgow Rangers' American midfielder DaMarcus Beasley
will be sidelined for months because of a knee injury that requires surgery. Beasley, 25, suffered ligament damage last Tuesday
in a collision with VfB Stuttgart Raphael Schaefer in a Rangers' 3-2 Champions League loss.
"He has to go for an operation, which he'll go to America for and we'll have a better idea
after that operation, but it will be months before he's back," said Rangers manager Walter Smith. "How many we're not quite sure, but it will certainly be months before he's back."
Since joining Glasgow Rangers' last summer, Beasley has played 10 Scottish Premier League games and made eight Champions League appearances.
