Convey shines as Reading downs Liverpool

[AMERICANS IN BRITAIN] Bobby Convey made the most of his fourth start of the season for Reading, setting up the final goal in a 3-1 win over previously undefeated Liverpool while fellow American Marcus Hahnemann played solidly in goal for the Royals. In two other EPL games over the weekend, Americans faced off on opposing sides.

With Tim Howard in goal, Everton crushed Fulham, 3-0, on a hat trick by Ayegbeni Yakubu as Clint Dempsey played 64 minutes and Carlos Bocanegra stayed on the bench for Fulham, which dropped to the edge of the relegation zone.

Everton is on a 10-game unbeaten streak in all competitions.

Defender Jonathan Spector was a 76th minute sub for West Ham, which beat Blackburn, 1-0, thanks to Dean Ashton's strike past Brad Friedel.

Reading's win over Liverpool was its biggest in the Royals' Premier League history. Convey, who nearly scored earlier in the game, fed James Harper for the game's final goal and was also involved in the sequence that led to a penalty kick.
