Casillas saves day for Real Madrid

[SPAIN] Real Madrid remained perfect at the Bernabeu Stadium with a 2-0 win over Real Zaragoza on Sunday and remained seven points ahead of Barcelona, a 2-0 winner at Real Mallorca.

Keeper Iker Casillas was the hero for Real Madrid, holding off the determined Zaragoza attack until goals by Ruud van Nistelrooy and Robinho decided the game.

Espanyol is third, a point behind Barca, after its 3-0 win over Villarreal on Saturday. Raul Tamudo scored twice to give him 10 goals for the season, tied for first with Sevilla's Luis Fabiano.

Atletico Madrid, whose 3-0 win at Deportivo Coruna was its first league win in 13 years at the Riazor Stadium, is fourth, 10 points behind Real Madrid.

Slumping Valencia was whistled off the field after its 0-0 tie at home with last-place Levante -- the first point on the road this season.
