2007 NSCAA/adidas Junior College Players of the Year

National champions Shaneka Gordon and Emily Dixon were among the NSCAA/adidas National Players of the Year for the 2007 junior-college season. All the winners will be recognized during the NSCAA Convention in Baltimore.

Division I Men
Roger Dacosta, Sr., Tyler JC
DaCosta led the Apaches to 10 shutouts this season and allowed only 14 goals in 18 matches. A two-time NSCAA/adidas All-Region first-team selection, the South African served as team captain as a sophomore.

Division I Women
Shaneka Gordon, So., CCBC-Catonsville
Gordon led Catonsville to a 20-1 record and the NJCAA national title, scoring 26 goals and recording eight assists for a total of 60 points. She has earned NSCAA/adidas All-America honors at both levels of junior college play after claiming Division III recognition at Long Beach City College in 2005.

Junior College Division III Men
Karlos Gonzalez, So., Mt. San Antonio College
Gonzalez claimed South Coast Conference Player of the Year honors after leading the Mounties to a 20-0-2 regular-season record. In 20 games, he scored 18 goals and added 12 assists for a total of 48 points.

Junior College Division III Women
Emily Dixon, So., Broome CC
Dixon led Broome to its first NJCAA national championship in any sport. She scored 29 goals this season. She scored both goals in the 2-1 victory over Gloucester to secure the national title, earning tournament Most Valuable Player honors.
