The other big news from the podcast was that the U.S. will decide by June 1 whether or not to bid on the 2018 World Cup. FIFA will not make the initial bidding
documents available until next year, but the Federation over the next five months will assess our chances of winning a bid.
Gulati was also asked to comment on Bob Bradley's first year in charge of the national team. He said that last year was a transitional year for the U.S. and that winning the first 11 games and the Gold Cup was a better start than he could have hoped for. He added that judging him based on the Copa America results would be unfair because Bradley always said the South American tournament wasn't a priority.
