The U.S. under-20 women's national team won its first tournament under new head coach Tony DiCicco Saturday when it clinched the Four Nations
Tournament with a 5-1 win over host Chile.
Stanford's Kelley O'Hara
led the USA with two goals, while Colorado's Nikki Marshall
and the Portland pair of Keelin Winters
and Michelle Enyeart
scored one goal each.
"Every player on the roster started at least one game of the three and there were some outstanding performance by players with little or no international experience," said DiCicco.
"Clearly, it will be a very competitive environment for players vying for spots on the qualifying roster. GAME SUMMARY: Feb. 15 in La Serena USA 5 Chile 1.
