Chelsea striker Andriy Shevchenko, who's fallen to third choice behind Nicolas Anelka and Didier Drogba in the Stamford Bridge pecking order, was spotted on the AC Milan bus following the Rossoneri's
0-0 draw against Arsenal in the Champions League on Wednesday. Shevchenko attended the game and then left on the Italian team's bus, prompting further speculation that he wants to leave Chelsea and
return to Milan. The Ukrainian is obviously still talking to his former club, but whether Milan wants him back is another issue. The Rossoneri are once again short-handed up front following the
long-term injury to Brazilian striker Ronaldo, whose contract expires this summer.
The European Champion will be happy to come away from the Emirates Stadium unscathed following a match that
was controlled by Arsene Wenger's men. Striker Emmanuel Adebayor missed a spectacular chance to put the game away in stoppage time, his header clanging off the crossbar in front of an open goal from
five yards.
Wenger admitted that the draw puts Milan in the driving seat for the second leg, but his young side showed a marked improvement from last Saturday's 4-0 F.A. Cup defeat at Old
Trafford. "The spirit was fantastic," the Arsenal coach said. "We just wanted maybe to force the issue too much. We weren't relaxed enough in the final third when we had chances. It promises to be a
very interesting game in the second leg."
