Furman inks former U-17 Klute

Chris Klute, who played for the USA at the 2007 Under-17 World Cup in South Korea, heads Furman's seven-player recruiting class.

Klute, who will enroll at Furman in the spring, played club soccer for Dallas Texans South before enrolling in the U.S. under-17 residency program.

The Paladins, who posted a 19-4-0 record and won the Southern Conference championship, also signed midfielder Coleton Henning, a two-time Gatorade Kansas Player of the Year.

Furman's five other signees all hail from Georgia: goalie Alec Kann, defenders Amadu Ndiaye, Walker Jernigan and Warren Creavalle are midfielder Eric Cobleigh.
