West Ham to Face MLS All Stars?

Various reports are claiming that English Premier League also-ran West Ham United will be the featured European club in the MLS All-Star Game, making it the fourth straight year the All-Stars would face a British opponent for the mid-season spectacle. Glasgow Celtic was the visitor last year, losing, 2-0, to the visibly fitter and sharper team all-stars. Juan Pablo Angel and Juan Toja were the goalscorers in that game, which was held at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Colorado.

This year's game is scheduled for July 24 at BMO Field in Toronto. Incidentally, the All-Stars are 4-0 in matches against foreign opposition. The Hammers would be following Celtic, Chelsea, Fulham and Chivas de Guadalajara.
