England will host the U.S. national team for only the second time in history when the teams meet in a May 28 friendly at Wembley Stadium.
The USA's most recent games against
England have been in 2005 (when the Americans lost 2-1 in Chicago), in 1994 (a 2-0 loss at Wembley), and in 1993, when the USA beat England 2-0 in Foxborough, Mass.
The May 28 game
in London will be televised live in the USA (3 pm ET) by ESPN Classic and Univision.
Both teams are preparing for 2010 World Cup qualifying play.

The USA next scheduled game is at Poland on March 26. And it played at Spain on June 4.
The USA begins the quest to qualify for its sixth-consecutive World Cup
finals when its faces the winner of the first-round series between Barbados and Dominica. The Caribbean nations drew 1-1 in the first leg on Feb. 6 in Dominica, with Barbados hosting the return
leg on March 26 in Bridgetown.
The USA will host its first qualifier on June 15 at The Home Depot Center, with the second leg to be played between June 18-21 on the road.
