Report: Idle Ronaldinho to Leave Barca This Summer

According to Spanish daily La Marca, Barcelona has given up hope of retaining Ronaldinho past this summer. At a Tuesday night board meeting, the Brazilian's future was top of the agenda, and it was agreed that the player would leave the club at the end of the season. According to the Spanish paper, Barca's directors believe Ronaldinho "goes out too often at night and they don't see him with either the desire or the determination to struggle to be the player that he once was." In fact, the paper says the Catalans now regret not having sold the Brazilian last summer, as Sandro Rosell, the man who masterminded his signing from Paris Saint-Germain in 2003, advised them to do.

Meanwhile, an online poll of 5,000 readers taken by Marca shows that only 15 percent think Barca should keep the Brazilian through the end of his contract in 2010, while 69.64 percent think he should be sold before his market value drops any further. Another 15 percent think the player should be given a free transfer.
