Fulham stays alive; Reading remains in limbo

[AMERICANS ABROAD] Fulham, the English Premier League's Yankee team with five Americans in its ranks, kept hopes alive of avoiding relegation with a 3-2 win at Manchester City. Marcus Hahnemann made three key saves for Reading as it mustered a scoreless tie against Wigan to remain one point above the relegation zone.

In its final two games, second-to-last Fulham faces third-to-last Birmingham and seventh-place Portmouth. Fulham is three points in the relegation zone.

Of Fulham's Americans, keeper Kasey Keller and attackers Brian McBride and Clint Dempsey started while Carlos Bocanegra and Eddie Johnson did not see action.

Fulham was trailing 2-0 with 20 minutes left when Diomansy Kamara struck twice and Danny Murphy provided the other goal.
