Nowak finds positives in three Toulon losses

[OLYMPIC COUNTDOWN] The USA lost to Ivory Coast, 1-0, and Italy, 2-0, to finish with three losses at the Festival Espoirs International in Toulon, France.

U.S. coach Peter Nowak used the tournament to look at players for the Olympic men's soccer tournament this summer in China. He used all 22 available players throughout the three games, including three different goalkeepers.

"We came to this tournament to make sure that we had all of our bases covered, and to evaluate as many players in the Olympic pool as possible," said Nowak. "There were many positive things to take out of the tournament, and we will use a lot of what we saw here in our decision making in the next couple months as we move toward Beijing."
