On the orders of Portugal Coach Luiz Felipe Scolari, Cristiano Ronaldo isn't talking about his future plans, but Ronaldo's mother, Dolores Aveiro, expects him to stay at Manchester United for now.
"He's fine where he is," she told Portuguese TV station TV1. "Only God knows the future, but what is certain is that he'll stay in England."
Real Madrid is reportedly prepared to offer a
world record $140 million to buy Ronaldo. Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson said the Glazer family that owns United would let Ronaldo rot on the United bench rather than leave for
Madrid.
Portugal opens its Euro 2008 campaign on Saturday against Turkey. Scolari said Ronaldo has been instructed to only talk about Euro '08. Scolari, rumored to be headed to Chelsea
next season, added that he would not be answering questions about where his own future might be until Portugal is no longer playing at Euro '08.
