U.S. U-17 boys celebrate July 4 with big win in South America

The U.S. under-17 boys national team celebrated July 4 with a 2-0 victory over Uruguay in Montevideo on the first game of its two-week South American tour.

Carlos Martinez led the Americans with a goal and an assist on Jack McInerney's header.

Defender Tyler Polak set up Martinez's goal, intercepting a pass in his own end and dribbling half the length of the field before laying it off to Martinez.

The USA plays Argentina Thursday and Chile Friday in Rosario.
