Manchester City tries crystal power

[OFF THE POST] In addition to owner Thaksin Shinawatra's millions of dollars, English Premier League side Manchester City is hoping feng shui will bring trophies to the Eastlands.

After executive chairman Garry Cook discussed the practice with two of the club's Thai executives, the board decided to bury crystals underneath the City of Manchester Stadium grass. City officials are hoping that crystals will energize the players.

The crystals have also been placed throughout the stadium while the reception offices and gift shop are now filled with fortune trees and three legged monkey toads.

""It's like a Catholic putting a Crucifix on the wall," explained a City source.
