Beckham still has drawing power

47,754. A crowd of 47,754 fans -- the largest of the season for a single MLS game -- showed up at Giants Stadium to watch David Beckham in his second appearance with the Los Angeles against the New York Red Bulls.

LANDON DONOVAN. The Galaxy star scored his league-high 12th goal of the season when his bending cross flew into the goal in the second minute of stoppage time and gave Los Angeles a 2-2 tie with New York. Donovan almost won the game less than a minute later when his shot hit the post.

JORGE ROJAS. The captain of the Venezuelan national team made his MLS debut for the Red Bulls and set up Dave van den Bergh's goal.

8. Toronto FC's winless streak reached eight games (four MLS games, Canadian championship matches and a pair of friendlies) when it was held to a 0-0 tie by the San Jose Earthquakes at home.

AMADO GUEVARA. The TFC midfielder missed what he said was only the second in 40-plus penalty kicks in his career when Quakes keeper Joe Cannon stopped the Honduran international.

3. FC Dallas came back to earn a point after being down at the half for the third straight game.

BOUNA COUNDOUL. The Senegalese goalie was at fault on both goals FC Dallas scored to earn a 2-2 tie with the visiting Colorado Rapids. He was caught out of position when Dom Oduro was taken down by Facundo Erpen for a penalty kick that Kenny Cooper converted, and he later whiffed on a cross that led to Juan Toja's goal.

4. The Chicago Fire's offensive problems continued when it was held scoreless for the fourth time in its last six games and had to settle for a 0-0 tie at home against Real Salt Lake.
