Rangers faces early exit

[UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE] Action heated up in the second round of UEFA Champions League qualifying, where Rangers, runner-up in last season's UEFA Cup, was held to a scoreless draw by FBK Kaunas at home in Wednesday's first leg.

Rangers struggled to find its rhythm after the first 15 minutes and couldn't beat the less-than-confident keeper Marian Kello.

Missing from the Rangers lineup was American DaMarcus Beasley, who is out with a hamstring injury. Also unavailable were captain Barry Ferguson (ankle operation) and defender Carlos Cuellar (calf strain).
