Saint Louis favored to win Atlantic-10 men's title

Returning one of the most experienced teams in recent history, Saint Louis has been selected to win the 2008 Atlantic 10 men's championship, ahead of Massachusetts, a 2007 NCAA Tournament semifinalist, and Charlotte.

The Billikens return nine starters from last year's squad that grabbed the A-10 regular-season title and finished 12-2-5 overall. Among that group is the A-10's reigning Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year in midfielder Kyle Patterson and defender Calum Angus, respectively.

Besides the Englishmen, forwards Scott Wisniewski, Dado Hamzagic and Jimmy Holmes, who combined for 18 goals and nine assists, are also back. All-A-10 selections Tim Ream and Rob Viviano return to anchor a defense that allowed a league-low 13 goals in 2007.
