Inter fined for 'existential damages'

[OFF THE POST] Clubs could be facing a rash of psychological lawsuits after Inter Milan was ordered to pay $2,300 dollars to an opposing fan because of "existential damages."

A fan went ahead with the lawsuit after Inter's 2-1 win over Napoli in October of last year. The Napoli fan was "indignant and deeply hurt" after Inter supporters displayed several banners making fun of trash that was accumulating in Naples' streets due to a dispute between the local government and waste disposal services.

The banners in question called Naples "the sewer of Italy." While others went a step further. "Ciao cholera sufferers" and "Neapolitans have tuberculosis" caused additional psychological duress.

The Italian league had already imposed sanctions on Inter Milan, closing several sections of the San Siro during the Nerazzuri's next home match.
