4. YOUTH: Rongen calls in Ferrari for U-20 camp

The U.S. under-20 national team will conduct its first camp since qualifying for this summer's U-20 World Cup in Canada when it trains in Frisco, Texas, from March 22-29.

U-20 head coach Thomas Rongen has invited 16 players in for the camp. Nine players play in Major League Soccer, two play professionally in Europe, four play collegiately and one is a high school senior.

Called up for the first time is Gabriel Ferrari, who recently debuted with Italian Serie A club Sampdoria in a Coppa Italia match. The high schooler is Santa Clara-bound Jalil Anibaba of Davis, Calif.

U-20 ROSTER:
GOALKEEPERS: Diego Restrepo (Univ. of South Florida), Chris Seitz (Real Salt Lake).
DEFENDERS: Kyle Davies (Southampton/Italy), Amaechi Igwe (New England Revolution), Quavas Kirk (L.A. Galaxy), Ofori Sarkodie (Indiana Univ.), Tim Ward (Columbus Crew).
MIDFIELDERS: Freddy Adu (Real Salt Lake), Jalil Anibaba (Davis Legacy, Calif.), Tony Beltran (UCLA), Danny Szetela (Columbus Crew), Anthony Wallace (FC Dallas).
FORWARDS: Josmer Altidore (N.Y. Red Bulls), Gabriel Ferrari (Sampdoria/Italy), Robbie Rogers (Columbus Crew), Sal Zizzo (UCLA).
