MORNING BRIEFING: Women's stars head to U-20 camp

Many of women's soccer's top players will take a week-long break from the college game to attend an Under-20 Women's World Cup training camp beginning Sunday in Sunrise, Fla.

Head coach Tony DiCicco has called 21 players into the camp, which he will use to make his final World Cup roster selections. The players heading to Sunrise will be available to play in their collegiate matches on Sunday (if applicable) and will return in time for games scheduled on Sept. 28.

Those players selected for the finals, beginning Nov. 19 in Chile, will miss the NCAA Tournament.

Several U-20 stars will miss the camp: captain Keelin Winters (Portland), Becky Edwards (Florida State), Kelley O'Hara (Stanford) and Casey Nogueira (North Carolina)

GOALKEEPERS: Bianca Henninger (Santa Clara), Chantel Jones (Virginia), Alyssa Naeher (Penn State), Cat Parkhill (Minnesota);
DEFENDERS: Kaley Fountain (Wake Forest), Lauren Fowlkes (Notre Dame), Liz Harkin (Arizona State), Nikki Marshall (Colorado), Elli Reed (Portland);
MIDFIELDERS: Becky Edwards (Florida State), Meghan Klingenberg (North Carolina), Christine Nairn (Maryland), Ingrid Wells (Georgetown);
