Sumptuous Kaka goal highlights first Milan win

[ITALY] The relief for AC Milan was twofold -- not only did it tally its first points of the Serie A season at the third attempt, but midfielder Kaka returned to form with an effortlessly sumptuous long range-strike to seal a 4-1 victory over Lazio. Only with the game safely in the bag did Coach Carlo Ancelotti feel secure enough to bring on Ronaldinho, who played the final 19 minutes of the home victory.

Lazio was knocked off the top of the table by Milan's city rivals and sitting champions Inter, which won 3-1 on the road at Torino, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic among the scorers. Juventus gave the table an old-time look by moving up to second with a 1-0 road win at bottom side Cagliari, the game's only goal coming from new Brazilian signing Amauri.

Roma strolled to a 3-0 home win over Reggina, while Fiorentina edged Bologna 1-0 on a goal from Italian national team striker Alberto Gilardino. Wednesday sees a rare full schedule of midweek fixtures in Serie A, while next Sunday the San Siro will host the first Milan derby of the season.
