[WORLD CUP 2010]
Brazil coach Dunga
, who's clinging on to his job after poor results and dismal play in general, has named a 22-man squad for next month's
qualifiers against Venezuela and Colombia that doesn't included AC Milan's Ronaldinho
Ronaldinho was a wild-card (overage) member if Brazil's bronze medal-winning team at the
2008 Olympic Games but struggled in Brazil's last two World Cup qualifiers.
Earlier this month, Ronaldinho missed a penalty kick in a 3-0 win at Chile and was booed when he was
substituted in a goalless tie at home to Bolivia.
"Ronaldinho has not had enough time to improve with his new club," said Dunga. "He is missing rhythm. I have confidence in him, as
do all Brazilians, and I hope he can become again the Ronaldinho that all the world knows."
Brazil meets Venezuela Oct. 12 then Colombia four days later. BRAZIL
