"He became somebody I relied upon as a mentor of sorts -- somebody who would provide great advice and knew the game. If somebody wanted to look back at the sport in Southern California or the
South Bay there's just no way that landscape wouldn't be decorated all over the place with things connected to Norm Jackson."
Jackson was born Aug. 31, 1927 in England and immigrated to
Ontario, Canada, in 1949. He moved to Southern California, via Rochester, N.Y., in 1957.
