U.S. U-17 split squads sweep in Richmond

On the fourth stop of its tour of U.S. Soccer Development Academy opponents, the U.S. under-17 national team swept a pair of games against the Richmond Strikers. The U-17 split squads topped the U-15/16 Strikers, 6-1, and the U-17/18 team 2-1.

Joel Nash and Dominick Sarle each scored twice, while Dustin Corea and Alfred Koroma tallied once in the early game.

Against the U-17/18s, the U.S. fell behind in just the first minute, but answered back quickly as Soony Saad leveled the score in the fifth. Saad picked up an assist on Luis Gil's game-winner in the 29th minute.
