Tambi names U.S. under-17 girls national team roster for World Cup

Coach Kazbek Tambi has named the 21-player roster that will represent the United States at the inaugural Under-17 Women's World Cup, which will be held Oct. 28-Nov. 16 in New Zealand.

Tambi's squad features 17 players born in 1991, three born in 1992 and one born in 1993.

The USA was drawn into Group C, which also features Japan, France and Paraguay. It will play its first two group matches against Japan and Paraguay at Waikato Stadium in Hamilton before facing France in Auckland.
