MORNING BRIEFING: Camels are streaking

Campbell extended its winning streak to seven games -- all in Atlantic Sun play -- with a 3-0 win over Thursday at USC Upstate.

Kyle Proctor scored his first goal in two years in the 47th minute to put the Camels in front.  Jason Keever and Bryan Dornseif added goals just 131 seconds apart after 71 minutes of play.

The Camels, who own their longest winning streak in 15 years, have not lost since a 3-2 setback in double overtime Sept. 23 at William & Mary. They can claim the A-Sun regular-season title and the top seed in next month's conference tournament with a victory Saturday at first-year East Tennessee State.

"It was another road win, we're trying to manage one game at a time, and have a lot to play for on Saturday," said Campbell coach Doug Hess.  "It was fantastic to have some other players step up and score goals.  Looking down our roster, we have a lot of different guys who can put the ball in the net.  It was a total team effort this evening."
