Nine pro players based in seven different countries were included in the squad U.S. under-20 national team coach
Thomas Rongen named for the trip to Madrid,
Spain from Nov. 15-23.
The team includes a pair of players from Germany's Hertha Berlin (
Bryan Arguez and
Alfredo
Morales) and MLS's FC Dallas (
Josh Lambo and
Anthony Wallace).
Along with Wallace,
Jorge Flores of Chivas USA and
Abdusalam Ibrahim from Toronto FC played in MLS this season.
Josh Hernandez (FC Dallas) and
Tristan Bowen (Los Angeles Galaxy) are top prospects on MLS academy teams.
The
U-20s are preparing for the CONCACAF Under-20 World Cup qualifying, which will take place in Trinidad early in 2009.
