Brock gets 600th career win

Needham (Mass.) High School boys coach Don Brock won his 600th career when the Rockets beat Braintree, 3-0, on Monday night.

Brock, who has been coaching at Needham since 1961, is one of two Massachusetts boys coaches with 600 or more wins. Barnstable coach Foster Cass won his 600th in September.

"It feels great, just as much fun as the first one," Brock, a retired math teacher at the school, told the Boston Globe. "I'm glad to get it over with, frankly, and get onto the [state] tournament. But this is nice."
