9. OFF THE POST: Heads roll after Kaiser cover-up

Back in June of 2005, a Franz Beckenbauer was caught by a speed camera driving 45 mph in a 20 mph zone.

But three officials in the traffic police department decided the man who won World Cups for Germany as a captain and coach should get a break. So they claimed the car was an unmarked auto used by traffic police.

But another official recognized Beckenbauer and as a result the two policeman and a senior inspector were fired from their jobs.

Beckenbauer, who would have been fined and had his license suspended for a month got, off scot-free. The statute of limitations had expired by the time the ruse was discovered.
