Eclipse Select, the Michigan Hawks and KC Select Scream Red clinched Premier Division girls titles in the US Youth Soccer Midwest Regional League's fall season. One girls title remained up for
grabs.
Girls Under-15: KC Select Scream Red finished first in the Premier Division and earned a slot to the 2009 US Youth Soccer Region II
Championships. In the First Divisions, three teams earned promotion to the MRL Premier Division for the 2009 Fall Season - Chicago Fire Juniors Red, Scott Gallagher-Green and Chicago Magic.
Girls Under-16: The Michigan Hawks finished first and earned a slot to the 2009 US Youth Soccer Region II Championships. In the First Division,
three teams earn promotion to the MRL Premier Division for the 2009 fall season. KC Comets Select and Vardar have clinched spots, while JB Marine and Scott Gallagher Illinois-Blue are playing for
the last spot.
Girls Under-17: Eclipse Select is the Premier Division champion. Eclipse Select and Ela tied for first, but Eclipse Select beat
Ela 1-0 back in mid-October to take the tiebreaker. The First Division's three teams that earned promotion into the 2009 MRL Premier Division are: Strikers FV Premier, TKO Premier SC and Lou Fusz
Strikers Mannion.
Girls Under-18: Eclipse Select finished first in the Premier Division and earned a slot to the 2009 US Youth Soccer Region
II Championships. The ASC Eagles and Shattuck St. Mary's Academy won their respective First Division groups.
The MRL offers both a fall and spring season, attracting more than 600 teams
from the 13 states that comprise Region II in boys and girls U-14 through U-18 age groups.
