Holder North Korea and Germany advance

[UNDER-20 WOMEN'S WORLD CUP] Japan and Brazil, the only unbeaten and untied teams left in the Under-20 Women's World Cup, fell in Monday's quarterfinals.

Defending champion North Korea knocked off Japan, 2-1, while Germany recovered from conceding an own goal to open the scoring and defeated Brazil, 3-2, to set up a date with the USA in Thursday's semifinal (TV: live, espn360.com, 5 pm ET/delay, Galavision 7 pm ET/PT).
