Heurelho Gomes,
signed from PSV Eindhoven in June for $11.7 million, has been in erratic form all season, and this has reportedly "exasperated" Redknapp since he took over as manager in October.
Hahnemann, 36, will be out of contract next summer. The crowd favorite joined Reading from Fulham in August 2002. But according to Nursey, "the keeper is disappointed by Reading's
refusal to give him a long-term deal due to his age."
