England's Manchester United is teaming up with the Dallas Texans, the most successful club in U.S. Youth Soccer history and ranked
the No. 1 boys club by Soccer America in 2008, to develop training programs for top
Manchester United coaches will travel to Dallas to help identify players and offer their advice and expertise in the youth team's coaching sessions. Selected Texans
players will travel to United's Carrington training center for training at United. They will be accompanied by Texans coaches who will share the latest coaching techniques.
"This is a
great opportunity for the Dallas Texans," said Brian McClair
, the former Scottish international who is the director of the Manchester United Academy. "We are
looking forward to welcoming them to Manchester and putting them through their paces."
The Texans hold the record for most USYS national championships with 10. They set a record with
four titles at the 2008 National Championships. Hassan Nazari
, the founder and technical director of the Dallas Texans, has build the Texans into
one of the biggest clubs in the country. It has expanded from its Dallas base and added competitive teams across Texas.
