COACHING MOVES: Gettler resigns at Richmond

Jeff Gettler, the winningest coach in Richmond men's soccer history, has resigned, ending his 14-year tenure with the Spiders.

UR struggled in 2008, finishing with a 3-12-3 after going only 1-9-0 in non-conference play.

Gettler, who led the Spiders to a pair of Atlantic 10 titles and two NCAA Tournament berths, had a 123-115-40 record.

He was the 2003 Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year.
