Less than a month after he resigned as the women's head coach at California to attend to what were termed "new family priorities," including becoming a new father, Kevin Boyd
is back as a Pac-10 coach, this time at Arizona State.
Boyd was reported to be considering a move back to Idaho with his girlfriend but instead takes over the Sun
Devil program formerly headed by Ray Leone
, who became the women's head coach at Harvard.
Boyd, 38, was instrumental in building Cal into one of
the top programs in the Pac-10. In his 10-year stint as the Bears head coach, he collected a 124-63-20 record and eight appearances in the NCAA tournament. Last year, Cal finished with a 12-5-5
record and made a run to the second round of the NCAA tournament. SAN DIEGO STATE.
