Govou caught driving five times over alcohol limit

[FRANCE] French soccer folks like to look down on the drinking habits of English players, but that doesn't mean Frenchmen are teetotalers. French international Sidney Govou had his driver's license confiscated on the spot when he was found to be driving in Lyons at five times over the French alcohol limit.

Govou was arrested in Lyons in the hours after Lyon's 0-0 tie with Marseille, a top-of-the-table clash.

A test showed the striker had 2.6 grams of alcohol per liter of blood, which is more than five times over the French legal limit of 0.5 grams.

Govou was held until he sobered up, then released on Monday morning.
