4. HARTWICK: McIntyre lands New York stars

Hartwick coach Ian McIntyre has quietly produced one of the country's top men's recruiting classes, adding two of the country's top high school seniors and the 2006 JC Player of the Year.

Midfielder Steven Amaya, who starred at New York City power Martin Luther King High School, was a 2006 adidas/ESP all-star. The New York Red Bulls youth team product is currently enrolled at Hartwick after graduating early from MLK.

Wilber Bonilla also ranked in Rise.com's Top 25 men's recruits out of Brentwood High School, where he was New York's top prep player. He played for Kosmos BW and should have an immediate impact at Hartwick in midfield.

Englishman Liam Parrington, an accomplished central defender and right back for  Bryant & Stratton Business Institute, is a two-time NJCAA first-team All-American and the 2006 NJCAA Player of the Year.

Another member of the eight-player recruiting class is U.S. Youth Soccer Region III player Evan Doan from the FC Dallas youth program. Doan should also contribute in midfield.

"Clearly, this is a very talented group of young players," said McIntyre, "but more importantly, each player is a great fit for Hartwick College and they are extremely excited to be part of our soccer program."
